Sarah Coakley - Agency Director & Publicist
Originally from the Midwest, Sarah Coakley started her career doing public relations for non-profits in both Lansing and Chicago. Following a few years of non-stop writing, event planning and securing a couple huge placements for the programming she was working on at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics—Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, The Today Show—she moved on to other facets of the strategic communications world: marketing, sales and advertising. Additionally, upon her move to Los Angeles, she spent time working behind the camera in the entertainment space as an assistant director—experience that gives her a unique perspective when it comes to understanding all aspects of an artistic project.

In January 2017, Sarah embarked on starting CPR and since then, has worked with extremely talented multi-hyphenate artists, and has secured media placements for clients for outlets such as Vogue, W Mag, Forbes, Broadly, Time, New York Magazine, Elle, Glamour, BET, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, among others. In addition to digital/print publications, Sarah has secured clients slots on podcasts like Crooked Media’s Lovett or Leave It, Merry Jane’s About That Time, Refinery 29’s Strong Opinions Loosely Held, digital/tv shows, Instagram/social media collaborations and brand partnerships. She specializes in bringing her clients’ unique stories to life and also works to garner placements for clients on sites that wouldn’t normally cover them, like a feature on Quinta Brunson in the sports-focused ESPN or Brown Girls webseries highlighted in the news magazine Time.

Coakley PR has helped me move forward in my artistry with improved search results, strong connections with outlets that match my brand and solidified my messaging as a DIY artist.
They have strong and innovative ideas, didn’t over promise, and collaborated with me to find solutions that work for me.
Coakley PR has set a new standard of quality within the entertainment industry by understanding and connecting to artist’s true voices; and most importantly, passion for storytelling. Coakley PR’s fresh take and awareness of underrepresented, multi-hyphenate artists has sparked dialogue and lifted their missions; helping these creators strengthen their message and artistic goals. Beyond innovativeness and success seen from their multiple placements in the media; Coakley PR also delivers grounded, trustful and honest business practices that only a boutique company could provide. It has been a joy to work with Coakley PR and I am confident in their continued presence within the industry.
When building a team as a talent manager, it is imperative that you bring on a publicist that clients trust. I have been so fortunate to see my artists blossom from this collaboration - and am grateful for the space Coakley PR builds for my artists. CPR consistently looks for new angles and methods to propel stories that must be heard and shared, particularly in Today’s divisive political climate . Their unique vision and passion for this quality of art can be seen in everything they do.
